In a recent article on TopGear.com, Porsche's hybrid powertrain manager Manfred Schurmann is quoted as saying:
"The packaging is impossible for the Macan [...] This system is too big."
That was his response to the question of whether or not the Cayenne S eHybrid's system (which is a transplant of the Panamera e-Hybrid's system) would fit into the Macan.
Quote:
But surely a downsized, next-generation system would fit the Macan brand at least as well as the Cayenne's? "For sure, a hybrid system will fit, but a decision has not yet been made about a hybrid version of the Macan. It's an open question. No development is taking place at the moment."
Basically the same news for the 911 Hybrid...
